Week 3

Date: 20th March 2009
Activity: Session: God in? God out?

  • To kick off this new semester, let's begin by asking ourselves "HOW MUCH DO WE WANT GOD IN OUR LIVES?" Before we can lead a life of faith and serve Him, it is important that we assess our willingness to SURRENDER our lives to him, as Jesus said that whoever dies to himself, would find life in him.

Week 4

Date: 27th March 2009
Activity: Session: Catholics Got Talent! (Service)

  • God has blessed everyone with gift and talents. Have you ever wondered how you could serve God? In this session, we would help you to match your gifts/talents with the various ministries in church that you could serve in with the talents you have received.
Venue: Chaplaincy
Time: 6.30 pm

Date: 28th March 2009
Activity: Scavenger Hunt
Venue: All around Melbourne (meet at St. Francis Church)
Time: 10am -8pm

Week 5
Date: 3rd April- no session (Night Market in uni, come support us!)

Date: 4th April (THIS IS A SATURDAY)

Activity: Session: Conversations with God
(Prayer)
  • No relationship can survive without communication. The same goes for our relationship with God. Prayer is like a telephone that we use to connect to God. Sometimes we speak and he listens, and other times, we listen while he speaks to us in our prayers. So, in this session, we would reflect and discuss ways in which we could improve our prayer lives. Note: This session would be held outdoors on a Saturday afternoon at the Botanical Gardens. Picnic included.

Easter Camp!

Date: 24th April 2009
Activity: The rosary, Our Father & Hail May
  • Why is the rosary important? What is the significance of it? Presentation on historical records of miracles associated with the rosary. The importance of 'Our Father' and 'Hail Mary.' A little on why we say the 'Hail Mary' and Mary's role. Finally, how to say the rosary.

Date: 9th May 2009
Activity: Annual General Meeting
Venue: Alan Gilbert Building (Executive Lounge)
Time: 3:30pm

Week 10
No event on Friday


Date: 16th May 2009 (Saturday)
Activity: Visiting the Old Folks Home
  • Let's cheer up the old folks and give them a wonderful time with our vibrant energy! We'll prepare performances that would hopefully add extra sunshine to their day =)
Venue: Little Sisters of the Poor
