I’m the 2014-15 PUBLICITY COORDINATOR.

So if YOU have a smartphone and download the app which showed below. You will be a great Publicity Co-ordinator.

But if YOU want to be a better Publicity Coordinator, YOU need have a heart to serve COSDU & GOD.

Here some information which Publicity Coordinator normally do.

ABOUT CORE TASK:

•          Maintain COSDU PAGE & COSDU Personal Account (INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, TWITTER…)
•          Create Facebook event for up-coming Friday’s session & Email the event to COSDU-ian
•          Taking Pictures during Friday’s sessions or Outing.
•          Incharge of O-WEEK Orientation Booth and welcoming new members (Two O-WEEK Events needed for the year)
•          Updated COSDU BLOG – with review of past sessions and update pictures
•          Design Poster for every events (or you can ask your committee to help you.)

People keep asking me whether they need to be expert in Photograph or Design? The Answer is No. You ask someone else to help you taking photo or designing the poster. Or you can just LEARN it. Everything worth to try. Maybe you will become an expert at the end of your committee year.

ABOUT WHY I JOIN COMMITTEE:

Actually I don’t know why I want to be a Publicity Coordinator, just become I want to be inside the committee to serve COSDU& GOD , which given me great years in my MELBOURN’s Living life.

ABOUT MY JOURNEY DURING COMMITTEE YEAR:

IT was FUNNY to have a bunch of friends planning up-coming sessions for COSDU and playing around during MEETING TIMES >.< yup.. during meeting time.
OH ya, we still hang out with each other outside the meeting and normal Friday’s session, as an example CommRetreat & dinner….etc..
I was really growing my FAITH during the committee year and also to my FRIENDSHIPS among the committee. Furthermore, there were a lot of tasks which I faced it . I learned it from each difference task and grew from it. DON’T worry to fall down because the rest of committee will be at your sides.

ABOUT CONCLUSION:
I will pass all the materials to you  which need to use for the publicity so don’t worry about it .EVEN can teach you how to use PHOTOSHOP too.

LAST, if you really want to join committee nut don’t know which role you suit you the most. Just pray and GOD will tell you the answer, maybe not right now but you will soon discover it in the AGM(Annual General Meeting).

Social Activites Coordinator - Daniel Hoh

The social activities coordinator in general is in charge of coordinating all social and otherwise group activities that COSDU is a part of. These activities include things like dinners and weekend sports games and study groups. Specifically, these duties are: -Organizing dinners after COSDU sessions -Rounding up people to do various activities, ie. Scavenger hunts, sports days -Other misc. activities that bring COSDU and its members together, ie. movie nights, skydiving, fishing, etc.

LiturgyCoordinator - JaneDanker

Hey everyone! The role of Liturgy Coordinator is a simple role and does not require much effort. The jobs that is required of you as the Liturgy Coordinator are:

 - Booking a venue for Mass (Newman College or St Mary's College)

 - Inviting Priest / different Priest to celebrate Mass

 - Preparing powerpoint slides for Mass

 - Appointing people to do the readings and prayer of the faithful

 - Liaising with the Music Coordinator

 - Facebook Event Page

Do not worry if you do not understand all of that as I will handover documents (hardcopy and digital copy) from previous years to ease you through these stuff. Like I said in the beginning, the role of the Liturgy Coordinator is a simple and easy task. Your role as a Liturgy Coordinator does not stop by just doing the things above but also your role in working together with your fellow committee members. Being part of the COSDU Committee requires you to be there for your teammates in supporting them and helping them whenever they need help.

I had an enjoyable time working together with my fellow committee members as I got to know them much better through all the time I spend with them and I know we will always help each other through thick and thin. Being part of the COSDU Committee, I was able to serve COSDU itself as well as giving my time to GOD. Remember that no matter what you do or what you decide, remember to offer it back up to GOD as he will always understand you and will never underestimate your LOVE for HIM.
